treatment options for fibroids

Fibroid is a benign tumour of fibrous and muscular tissue, one or more of which may be found in the muscular walls of the uterus (womb). Fibroids often cause pain, excessive menstrual bleeding and they may become quite large. They do cause infertility. Fibroids can be removed surgically, but in some cases, the whole of the uterus is removed (called hysterectomy or uterectomy).

Aurum muriaticum natronatum : more active in fibroids with high blood pressure, arteriosclerosis, indurated cervix, enlargement of uterus, ulceration of its neck and of vagina, coldness of abdomen, syphilitic gouty pains in joints, habitual abortion or miscarriage and cancer of breasts.
Calcarea carbonica :fibroids of uterus with too copious, too profuse, too frequent menses, worse after exertion, emotional excitement. Aching in vagina, bearing down pains in pelvis, intolerable pain in the back, sweating of head during sleep at night, coldness of feet. She feels chilly, is oversensitive to cold air and has obesity.
Calcarea iodata : In fibroids of uterus in flabby women who are sensitive to cold, headache in cold air, chronic cough, difficult breathing, purulent, profuse or yellow expectoration, croupy cough, cracked skin in cold air and falling of hair.
Trillium cernuum : Uterine haemorrhage due to fibroid, in the womb, prolapsus of uterus with bearing down pains in the pelvis. It may be alternated with Sabina Ø 4-5 drops after every 2-4 hours to arrest the bleeding, or gushing of bright blood from uterus with great faintness and dizziness. Feels better in open air. Similarly, Hamamelis Ø and Ipecac 3X arrest the bleeding, or Sabina Ø and Millefolium Ø for clotted, bright haemorrhage.    Dr.Chatterjee
