treatments for rheumatoid arthritis

Rheumatoid arthritis is a disease with unknown causes. There is chronic inflammation of various joints of the body, such as joints of the fingers, wrists, toes, ankles and often the knees, hips and shoulder, with severe pain and considerable swelling.
It is not just a disease of joints only but every system, tissue or part of the body is involved, suchas lungs, nerve tissues, and small arteries. Patient may have hypertensions, difficult breathing. Women are affected more than men. Eventually the affected joints may develop deformities. Non-articular rheumatism involves the soft tissues and causes fibrositis and lumbago.

Management of acute rheumatoid arthritis : By understanding the seriousness of a sudden onset of acute arthritis, we can set realistic goals for our treatment. Rheumatoid arthritis represents a deep systemic pathology and our expectations must correspond. Thus, if the joint is 50% improved after a month, the homeopath should feel quite satisfied, knowing that under allopathic treatment there is no true cure for the disease. In many cases, the joint will not return to its normal use for several months. However, the cure will be a permanent one.
Even though the condition is labeled, "acute," it is certainly part of the constitutional case. When we treat the patient, we must try to find a constitutional remedy. If the patient is in too much acute distress to give anything other than the local symptoms, an acute remedy can be given with the clear idea that a deeper, constitutional remedy will be needed eventually.
